DIY Vitamin Gummies with Moringa – A Mom Hack You’ll Actually Use

I don’t know about you, but getting my kids (and myself, let’s be real) to take vitamins every day was starting to feel like a full-time job. I’d tried the fancy multivitamin brands, the fizzy ones, the syrupy ones—and every time, there was a new complaint. Either they tasted weird, were loaded with sugar, or were just plain forgotten.

Then one day, during one of those “let’s just scroll Pinterest for fun” evenings, I stumbled across the idea of making your own vitamin gummies at home. And I thought… Hold up. I could totally do that. And I could sneak in my secret weapon—Moringa.

Let me tell you, these gummies were a hit. Not just with the kids, but with me too. They’re ridiculously easy to make, cost next to nothing, and you get to control exactly what goes into them. Plus, they taste like actual fruit, not some mystery lab concoction.

Why Moringa?

Now, if you’ve never heard of Moringa, you’re in for a treat. It’s not just some trendy green powder influencers are pushing. It’s known as “Nature’s Green Gold” for a reason. As a former animal rehabilitator, I’ve used Moringa to help nurse near-death rescues back to health. And during my pregnancy and breastfeeding years, it became my holy grail multivitamin.

It’s loaded with:

  • Vitamin A, B, C, E
  • Calcium,
  • Potassium,
  • Iron
  • Antioxidants + Anti-inflammatories
  • Plant-based protein

Basically, it’s a green miracle worker. It supports immune function, energy, milk production (hi, breastfeeding moms!), skin health, and so much more. And the best part? A little goes a long way. You only need a tiny amount in these gummies to make a big impact.

Let’s Make Some Gummies!

This recipe is totally customizable. I use whatever juice we have on hand—orange, mango, mixed berries, even watermelon! Just make sure it’s 100% real fruit juice with no added sugars or artificial stuff. Here’s how to whip these up in 15 minutes:

Homemade Moringa Vitamin Gummies

Ingredients:

1 cup 100% fruit juice of your choice

1 tbsp Moringa powder

2 tbsp raw honey (or to taste)

4 tbsp grass-fed gelatin powder

Optional:

Silicone gummy molds (super cute for the kiddos!) or a glass baking dish works just fine.

Instructions:

1. Warm the juice:

In a small saucepan over low heat, warm half of the the juice just until it’s hot—not boiling! (If it gets too hot, the nutrients can break down.)

2. Add moringa + honey:

Stir in your moringa powder and honey until fully dissolved. This gives it that beautiful green glow and a hint of sweetness.

3. Whisk in gelatin:

Slowly sprinkle the gelatin over the other half of juice and let it bloom for a few seconds until it starts to thicken. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and mix it in with you warm juice until everything is evenly incorporated.

4. Pour into molds:

Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a shallow dish. If you’re using a dish, you can cut the gummies into squares once set.

5. Refrigerate:

Pop them into the fridge for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.

6. Store + enjoy:

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week (if they last that long!).

Quick Notes:

For younger kids, I use mango or orange juice—they’re sweet enough that they don’t even notice the Moringa.

Don’t go overboard with the powder! Start with 1 tablespoon per batch and adjust if needed. You can even sneak in extra goodies like elderberry syrup or vitamin C powder.

This little recipe has become part of our weekly routine—and it feels good knowing we’re getting in some extra nutrients without a battle. Plus, it’s another step toward that self-sufficient homesteading lifestyle we’re aiming for, one homemade vitamin gummy at a time.
